Intellectual property is a creation of the mind.
I believe an experts definition of intelectual property would be close to the same. It is a an object, in one form or another, that is original that you have created from an idea in your mind.
An example would be an essay, a song, a blueprint, or even a poem.
If intellectual property could be manipulated or shared the concept changes, however, the person who created that object still has rights to it. Just the same as if someone paraphrases the words of another, they must still attribute those words to the original source.
Hi Caleb,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your post on intellectual property (with 2 "l's").
For this post, you will actually have to locate an expert's definition of intellectual property and cite it.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
